Off-Mass: Fatta Cuckoo, NYC

I was in New York for a quick trip this weekend! So, I’m happy to share a delightful little restaurant called Fatta Cuckoo with you this week. A close friend of mine lives in the Lower East Side and frequents this charming spot. You can actually make reservations here – which is quite the treat; many restaurants in NYC do not take reservations – so we were penciled in for 2:30pm Saturday.

Like many restaurants in New York, this eatery was small but really wonderful. It has a great playful, welcoming atmosphere. The chalkboard on the walls, the colorful art, and the festive lights made me feel like a five year old at an exciting birthday party! But instead of birthday cake, we celebrated with Mimosas and Bloody Marys. To top it all off, Fatta Cuckoo offers a superb brunch special: an entree and three drinks for only $20. We enjoyed our two hour brunch, sharing laughs and sipping drinks, and reluctantly left around 4:30pm. It’s a sweet spot to visit and make memories. The food is pretty savory, too!

I hope you enjoyed this Off-Mass post.

Special thanks to my girlfriends in NYC for such a heartwarming afternoon.
